Former Clemson DT Dexter Lawrence suffers injury at NFL Combine

Former Clemson DT Dexter Lawrence appears to have hit another bump along his path to the draft.
The Tigers defender who was suspended for the College Football Playoff after a positive PED test is done early Sunday at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis after injuring himself running the 40-yard dash. He clocked a time of 5.05 seconds on his first run (which can be seen in the clip below), but that’s all he’ll be doing. Lawrence was seen with an ice pack on his quad after the run.
NFL teams will be impressed by Lawrence’s Clemson game tape and seeing a 342-pounder clock a 5.05-second 40-yard dash in Indianapolis, but following a PED suspension with a Combine injury certainly won’t help his stock.
