The Alliance of American Football’s Birmingham Iron are 1-0 on the season. The Iron thumped the Memphis Express 26-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Former Alabama standout Trent Richardson stole the show, as he rushed for 58 yards and scored the only two TDs of the game. He wasn’t his old Alabama self, but he looked pretty good in the fourth quarter.

Richardson scored the franchise’s first TD, and later in the quarter, he followed it up with more a punishing TD run.

In addition to Richardson, former Alabama defensive standout Xzavier Dickson sealed the game in the fourth quarter with an INT. Dickson played at Alabama from 2012-14. He was drafted in 2015 by the Patriots in the seventh round. He was later released and picked up by the Falcons.

Former Auburn DB Ryan White also came up with a huge tackle in the second half.
