One of the best prospects in the 2024 class has narrowed his list of teams to 11.

Waco (Texas) Connally cornerback Kobe Black announced his Top 11 on Thursday, trimming down an offer list that encompassed nearly half of the Power 5. Black is a 5-star prospect and the No. 3 corner in the class. He said Thursday his recruitment is 100% open, but he intends to focus on LSU, Alabama, Texas A&M, and Florida along with Oregon, Texas, Ohio State, USC, TCU, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.

Black is a do-everything athlete. He runs track (4×100 relay) and plays basketball for Connally High. As a junior last fall, Black scored 6 rushing touchdowns and 5 receiving touchdowns. He picked off 2 passes and returned both for touchdowns. He broke up 9 passes and got into the backfield for a pair of tackles for loss.

The 6-foot, 190-pound corner was voted the Texas District 9-4A D-II Defensive Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore and then a Texas District 11-4A D-II First Team selection at both corner and receiver as a junior.

He’s the 16th-ranked recruit in the Class of 2024, according to the industry-generated 247 Composite. You can view his highlight tape below, via Hudl:
