Every week, the best college football game of the day occurs at different times. Usually, ESPN/ABC puts its best game in the evening time slot, with CBS taking the mid-afternoon slot for the SEC game of the week.

Now, it appears FOX is going to try to corner the noon Eastern time market, per an announcement made on Monday.

Per reporter Andrew Marchand, FOX is going to put its game of the week in that time slot every week for the 2019 season, no matter what:

FOX is a heavy player in the Big Ten and Big 12 worlds, so this is bad news for Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma and Texas fans who enjoy later games.

Will this be a popular decision, or one that quickly gets abandoned? We’ll find out pretty early during the 2019 season.
