This Saturday, the third of the 2020 college football season, will see Power 5 teams in action for the first time. For analysts, that means these are the last few days of preseason rankings.

FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt has the SEC occupying three spots in his top 5. While Clemson is No. 1, Alabama checks in at No. 2 followed by No. 3 Florida and No. 5 Georgia.

As for the SEC teams, Klatt shared that he would have Georgia higher than No. 5 if not for the combination of a new offensive coordinator and a new quarterback.

Florida standout tight end Kyle Pitts has received preseason All-American recognition, but Klatt believes the junior from Philadelphia is actually underrated. Klatt also predicts a “big year” for returning Gators quarterback Kyle Trask.

Klatt calls the return of Dylan Moses “enormous” for Alabama. He believes a better Crimson Tide defense will benefit the offense, which returns Najee Harris and standout receivers Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith.
