There are some really interesting games this weekend and some programs are relying heavily on their quarterback to make things happen and win them the ball game. With that said, here is my guy that has the toughest task this weekend.
I gotta go with Dak Prescott. I know, he is in the Heisman talks and has played awesome this year, but playing in Alabama is no easy task. Given the way that Alabama has been playing recently, I think Dak is going to have his hands full and will need a huge game to remain unbeaten. Prescott is definitely more than capable of scoring points, but going against this stingy Bama defense in Tuscaloosa will be his biggest challenge to date. Having said all this, I am a firm believer in coach Dan Mullen and his offensive scheme, and I know he’s gonna have his boys ready to be successful Saturday night. The entire Mississippi State football team is going to need a big game out of Prescott if they want to have any shot of coming out of there alive. It should make for a really good game and I am very excited to see what kind of game Prescott, and Blake Sims as well, have on Saturday. It will be interesting to see what sort of gameplan Dan Mullen will have, whether it be more of a pass heavy or run heavy. Alabama hasn’t seen a player of Prescott’s ability nor have they seen an offense this good. However, it is Alabama and they are at home, and they have been playing very well on defense the past few weeks. I can’t wait for this one. Oh yeah, this game could catapult Prescott into the front running for the Heisman trophy if he performs well and they win the game.
There’s one thing that I am pretty confident about, it will be a very physical, tough game and the winner has a clear shot to the inaugural college football playoff.
