Kirby Smart is busy getting Alabama’s defense ready for the national championship game on Monday, but he continues to add to his future staff in Athens.
This particular assistant has a recognizable last name.
Shane Beamer, son of long-time Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer, will coach tight ends and special teams for the Bulldogs, according to ESPN’s Chris Low.
