Greg McElroy and Cole Cubelic on WJOX Tuesday morning each revealed their top 8 returning players in the SEC, and while Cubelic stuck with players who played in the SEC last season, McElroy added the NC State transfer QB to Kentucky in Devin Leary.

“Not that many defensive players this year,” McElroy said. “Very few known commodities on defense, I just have 2.”

However, one he has is Dallas Turner at Alabama and McElroy pointed out that it will be different for Turner this season without Will Anderson Jr. on the other side.

McElroy added that Sanders at No. 3 may be a surprise to some, but he believes Sanders is better than Judkins.

Perhaps as a reflection of the talent in the league, McElroy actually listed 9 players in his 8 spots.

Here are the rankings:

Cubelic:

1. Quinshon Judkins, Ole Miss running back
2. Brock Bowers, Georgia tight end
3. Harold Perkins, LSU linebacker
4. Antwane “Juice” Wells, South Carolina wide receiver
5. Raheim “Rocket” Sanders, Arkansas running back
6. Jayden Daniels, LSU QB
7. Malik Nabers, LSU wide receiver
8. Dallas Turner, Alabama edge
