Les Miles was fired by the LSU Tigers midway through the 2016 season and wasn’t able to land a new job this offseason.

However, when the 2017 season is over, he’ll try to get back in the game again, and this time he may have some suitors.

According to a tweet from Kevin Hampton of the Corvallis Gazette-Times, Miles has expressed interest in the open Oregon State job:

Whether the Beavers are interested in Miles or not is unclear, but it would be hard for Oregon State to turn down a coach with a national championship on his resume.

The Beavers are a dismal 1-8 right now and desperately need something good to happen to help inspire the fan base. Hiring Miles would not only do that, but it’d also help the school land some better recruits over the next few years.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Miles over the next few months, but it appears he’s still actively working to land a new gig.
