The Heisman Trophy for 2022 is down to 4 finalists. Heisman winner named Robert Griffin III announced the finalists live on ESPN during “Monday Night Countdown.”

The finalists were revealed alphabetically. It’s officially a quarterback award again in 2022:

  • Georgia QB Stetson Bennett
  • TCU QB Max Duggan
  • Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud
  • USC QB Caleb Williams

The Heisman will be awarded Saturday on ESPN (8 p.m. ET). Alabama QB Bryce Young won in 2021.

Injuries have, unfortunately, greatly impacted the 2022 race for the Heisman Trophy. Tennessee QB Hendon Hooker was widely seen as one of the front-runners to win the award before tearing his ACL last month against South Carolina, causing him to miss the Volunteers’ regular-season finale.

Michigan RB Blake Corum, another top candidate during the season, missed most of U-M’s regular-season finale against Ohio State and the Big Ten Championship Game against Purdue. Williams was injured during the Trojans’ loss to Utah in Saturday’s Pac-12 Championship Game.
