The latest race for the Heisman Trophy continues to take shape with the preseason favorite seemingly falling out of the picture and another SEC player coming out of nowhere to nearly take the lead in the race for college football’s highest individual honor.

Online sportsbook BetOnline has just dropped the latest Heisman Trophy odds for the 2019 season and five quarterbacks that either play in the SEC now or did so last season are at the top of the board.

Tua Tagovailoa remains the betting favorite while Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, Justin Fields and Jake Fromm are just behind the Alabama signal-caller in the updated odds. Trevor Lawrence, who many had pegged as the clear favorite to win the award in the preseason, appears to be one bad game away from falling completely out of the picture.

Here is the full list of updated Heisman Trophy contenders listed by BetOnline after six weeks of play:

  • Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa 2/3
  • LSU QB Joe Burrow 3/1
  • Oklahoma QB Jalen Hurts 3.5/1
  • Ohio State QB Justin Fields 12/1
  • Georgia QB Jake Fromm 20/1
  • Wisconsin RB Jonathan Taylor 20/1
