With Week 8 of the college football season in the books, the Heisman Trophy picture is starting to take shape.

On Sunday morning’s edition of SportsCenter, ESPN analyst Trevor Matich joined the show and broke down his Heisman rankings as things stand ahead of Week 9.

As you can see below, he has Ole Miss QB Matt Corral in the top spot, followed by 2 additional SEC standouts:

  1. Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss
  2. Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia
  3. Will Anderson, Edge, Alabama
  4. Sean Tucker, RB, Syracuse

Matich then named exciting Oklahoma QB Caleb Williams as a player to file away in the Heisman race.

Corral doesn’t have a stranglehold on the award just yet, so there’s still time for someone to make a late push for the prestigious trophy. We’ll see how the next few weeks play out!
