Furman transfer Noah Gurley has announced his top eight schools, and the list includes four from the SEC.

Auburn, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee are still in the mix to sign the talented big. Gurley also said he will be announcing his decision a week from today.

Here’s his announcement:

Gurley is a very interesting project. This past season for Furman, he produced 15.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Listed at 6-foot-8, he’s a modern big who can also block shots (1.1 per game) and hit 3-pointers (33.9 percent on 4.2 attempts per game). He can also pass a little bit, averaging 2.5 assists per contest as a junior.

According to the The Athletic, Gurley is currently the 39th-ranked available player in the country. That includes all uncommitted recruits for the 2021 class and all players in the transfer portal.

Here’s a short excerpt from Sam Vecenie’s thoughts on Gurley on The Athletic:

“Any coach looking for a perimeter big (read: most of them across college basketball) would do well to give Gurley a call because it’s hard to find big men who have a polished dribble-pass-shoot skill set.”

Gurley is originally from Fayetteville, Georgia, so it’s not surprising to see a heavy SEC lean on his finalists list.

He’s set to make an announcement on Sunday, April 11.
