Winning on the road in college basketball is no easy accomplishment. Winning on the road in conference play is even tougher, and the teams fighting for the SEC title have put that on full display this season.

The ability of the top teams in the conference to defend home-court advantage is elite. It was once again illustrated during Saturday’s slate of action.

In the afternoon, No. 6 Kentucky went on the road to face No. 18 Arkansas. The Razorbacks raced out to a first-half lead before the Wildcats stormed back in the second half. Down the stretch, Arkansas was able to close it out for a key win.

Following that game, No. 3 Auburn ventured to Knoxville to face No. 17 Tennessee. Despite the Tigers looking solid in the first half, the Vols posted a big second half and held on late for the win.

Remarkably, those results moved the home records of the top 4 teams in the SEC to 64-1, per stats shared by Kyle Tucker with The Athletic. Between those teams (Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky and Tennessee), the lone home loss belongs to the Razorbacks at the hands of Vanderbilt.

Now with one week left to go in the regular season, there is just one more game between teams in the top 4 of the SEC standings. That will be next Saturday when Arkansas travels to Knoxville to take on Tennessee.
