The NBA has officially returned, with players taking part in a bubble setting in Orlando. Games started this week.

As long as things continue to go according to plan in the NBA, the NCAA plans on playing the 2020-21 college basketball season as scheduled, too.

As you can see below, NCAA senior vice president Dan Gavitt spoke with Andy Katz and said the plan for now is to start the season on Nov. 10:

“We’re all looking forward to the NBA finishing their season, the playoffs, crowning a world champion,” Gavitt said. “As long as basketball is being played safely anywhere in the world this season, we’ll be playing NCAA college basketball as well, both regular season and certainly the tournament in 2021.”

After canceling the NCAA Tournament this past season, the NCAA will do everything in its power to make sure March Madness happens this year. We’ll see if the season is actually able to start on time during the COVID-19 pandemic, though.
