Saturday night in Lexington, Kentucky will try to put an end to one of the longest losing streaks against a single opponent in FBS history when it hosts Florida.

The Gators have won 30 straight games over the Wildcats, the fourth-longest streak of consecutive wins over an opponent in an uninterrupted series, and the longest active such streak. The last time Kentucky beat Florida was November of 1986.

While the Gators’ streak over the Wildcats is the longest among SEC opponents, it doesn’t necessarily mean this has been the most one-sided matchup. In fact, if you look over the last five years, the point differential between Florida and Kentucky (+104 for Gators) doesn’t even make the top 5 in SEC matchups.

Here’s a look at the largest point differentials over the last five years between SEC teams. As you can probably imagine, Alabama dominates this list.

10) Alabama over Florida / Georgia over Auburn (+73)

Alabama and Florida have met only three times over the last four years, with the last two games coming in the SEC Championship Game. The Crimson Tide have dominated all three games, winning each by at least two touchdowns.

As for Georgia, the Bulldogs are 4-1 over the last 5 years against Auburn, with two of the wins coming by 27 or more points.

9) Georgia over Vanderbilt (+84)

The Bulldogs are actually just 3-2 against the Commodores since 2012. But the three Georgia wins have been by 17, 27 and 45 points.

8) Texas A&M over Arkansas (+95)

Since they joined the SEC in 2012, the Aggies are a perfect 5-0 vs the Razorbacks. Three of the wins have come by two touchdowns, including a 48-point victory in 2012 (58-10), a game that saw a freshman QB named Johnny Manziel pile up 557 total yards and 4 touchdowns.

7) Alabama over Texas A&M (+98)

In their first meeting as SEC foes in 2012, Texas A&M surprised Alabama with a 29-24 victory. Since that game, Alabama has won four straight in the series, the last three coming by a total of 96 points.

6) Florida over Kentucky (+104)

Defense has been the key lately in this rivalry. Florida has held Kentucky to fewer than 10 points in four of the last five meetings.

One more note on this rivalry. Since 1975, Florida is 38-0 when it has scored 10 or more points, and 0-4 when it has been held under 10 points.

5) Georgia over Kentucky (+106)

Hard to believe that over the last five years, two of these games have been decided by 5 or fewer points.

But the scoring margins in the other three games, all Georgia wins, have been 24, 32 and 42 points.

4) Tennessee over Kentucky (+111)

Tennessee has not only won the last five meetings from Kentucky, but each game has been decided by at least two touchdowns.

Most notable from this current Tennessee streak is how it has dominated Kentucky after halftime. In the last five meetings, the Volunteers have outscored the Wildcats 80-16 in the third quarter, an average of nearly 13 points a game (12.8).

3) Alabama over Mississippi State (+122)

The win streak for Alabama over Mississippi is actually nine games, but over the last five years the Crimson Tide have beaten the Bulldogs by nearly 25 points a game (24.4).

How dominating has Alabama been over Mississippi State? The Crimson Tide haven’t allowed the Bulldogs to score a TD in the last eight quarters of their meetings. Not surprisingly, the combined score over the last two meetings was 82-9.

2) Alabama over Tennessee (+124)

Two years ago, Tennessee nearly upset Alabama, losing by just five points, 19-14.

Unfortunately for the Volunteers, that game has been the highlight of their rivalry in recent years. In fact, in five of the last seven meetings dating to 2010, Alabama has beaten Tennessee by at least 30 points. Last year’s 39-point win by the Crimson Tide was their largest in the rivalry since 1906.

1) Alabama over Arkansas (+137)

Alabama’s 137-point margin over the last five meetings vs. Arkansas may be the largest in these SEC matchups, but it’s really two games in this streak that are the biggest example of the Crimson Tide’s dominance.

In 2012, No. 1 Alabama went to Fayetteville and won 52-0. The following season, No. 1 Alabama was hosting Arkansas. The result?

Alabama 52, Arkansas 0.
