The Iron Bowl is always weird when it’s played at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
When you put Alabama and Auburn on that field, crazy things happen. This year, it took a near-Hail Mary from Jalen Milroe to Isaiah Bond to give Alabama the lead with under a minute left.
With Alabama’s team point total set at over/under 34.5 heading into the Iron Bowl, it looked like that was out of reach. But then, a miracle, or so it seemed for bettors who took Alabama’s over (or certain other live bets throughout the game).
It looked like Alabama scored on a pick-6 as time expired. Game over. Over hits.
Not so fast! When CBS ended its broadcast, it said the last touchdown didn’t count. That naturally led to plenty of bettors complaining about a bad beat on social media:
CBS ends their broadcast by casually mentioning that Alabama’s last touchdown didn’t actually count, which means, apparently, there’re thousands of bettors who wrongly think they either got SUPER unlucky/lucky.
The TikTok video reactions to this ALL-TIME “bad beat” will be EPIC! https://t.co/XMijFHhxx3

Here’s the would-be pick-6:
He NEVER stepped out of bounds. That's a touchdown by Alabama! OMG. Bad beat for the team total if they don't correct this. https://t.co/bCYCz8z01u

You be the judge. In or out?
Either way, time to shake it off and get on to the next one. This was either a bad beat or a great cover depending on what side you were on. College football, y’all. There’s nothing like it!

UPDATE: Here’s an angle that seems to show Terrion Arnold’s foot on the sideline on the pick 6:
If you're like me and were wondering why your back door cover for Alabama on the interception didn't stick…runner was out at the 3 1/2-yard line on the pick-6 that wasn't. #BadBeat pic.twitter.com/PfPNj0VtHy
