In the latest episode of “JC on the SEC,” Saturday Down South senior writer John Crist discusses Tennessee finally pulling the rug out from under Butch Jones.

We’ve known for quite some time that Jones wouldn’t be back for the Volunteers, but athletic director John Currie still waited as long as possible before making it official. Do we have reason to believe that Currie can land a big-name replacement?

Additionally, Texas A&M’s Christian Kirk continues to state his case as the best player in the SEC. He returned yet another punt for a touchdown Saturday against New Mexico, giving him six for his career. It’s amazing how dangerous he is on special teams, even when compared to an all-time great at the next level like Devin Hester.

Be sure to watch the video above for JC’s thoughts on those subjects, as well as his “Pick Six” segment that covers several other topics.
