One of the nation’s top pass rushers has narrowed his options down to just six schools and based on the latest update on his recruitment, it appears this Alabama native plans to play in the Southeastern Conference.

Birmingham native Jeremiah Williams announced on Friday that Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU and Oklahoma have made his list of finalists. Unless the Sooners pull off a stunning win on the recruiting trail, Williams plans to play his football in the best college football conference in the nation.

The 6-foot-3, 224-pound Williams is rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 6 weakside defensive end and the No. 5 overall prospect from Alabam in the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings. The Ramsay High School standout is also ranked as the No. 107 overall recruit in the country.

Williams is also currently committed to playing the 2021 All-American Bowl once his high school career at Ramsay concludes. During the previous two seasons on the high school gridiron, Williams has racked up 25 sacks on the field.

This spring, Williams managed to visit Alabama, Florida and Tennessee before the NCAA and the SEC shut down recruiting due to the coronavirus pandemic.
