One of the top overall prospects in the state of Alabama has narrowed down his list to eight programs, with six of those hailing from the Southeastern Conference.

On Tuesday, four-star defender Jeremiah Williams of Ramsay High School in Birmingham announced that Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU and Tennessee have made his list out of the SEC. In addition to those six, Nebraska and Oklahoma also made the cut for Williams.

The 6-foot-3, 224-pound pass rusher is rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 6 weakside defensive end in the nation and the No. 5 overall recruit from Alabama by 247Sports Composite Rankings. Williams narrowed his list down after visiting Alabama, Florida and Tennessee this spring before the NCAA halted all on-campus recruiting following the coronavirus outbreak.

Williams has registered 15 sacks, 25 tackles for loss and 107 total tackles during his sophomore and junior seasons at Ramsay High School.
