If you missed the early college football action Saturday, among the biggest news items was Florida State’s 31-28 home loss to Louisville. The loss dropped the Seminoles to 2-4 on the season and continues a long 2017 campaign of struggles that looked promising all offseason.

FSU was ranked as a consensus Top 5 team in the preseason.

While FSU fans may be upset, clearly, head coach Jimbo Fisher is right there with them. Following the loss, Fisher had a somewhat nasty exchange with a Seminole fan as he walked off the field.

Here’s how Fisher explained his actions after the game, according to Safid Deen of the Orlando Sentinel:

“It’s not frustration, just, ‘Hey, listen, be supportive. There’s no reason to be nasty. I shouldn’t have said something.

“But at the same time, [I’m] defending players and people you’re with. I’m in charge of them, and I love them like a father. If they say something about your family, you take up for it.”

Chalk this one up to frustration that will likely only be solved once Florida State starts winning on the field once again.
