The 2023 NCAA Tournament will be here before we know it. Most conferences have either already started league play or will do so in the next week and a half.

Then it’s all about jockeying for position for March Madness. So, who is in position to make the field of 68 teams at the moment?

ESPN bracketology expert Joe Lunardi updated his 2023 tournament projections on Tuesday and he included 6 SEC squads in the field. He also had Mizzou and LSU on the “Next Four Out” line:

  • Tennessee — No. 2 seed (South)
  • Alabama — No. 2 seed (Midwest)
  • Arkansas — No. 4 seed (West)
  • Kentucky — No. 5 seed (Midwest)
  • Mississippi State — No. 6 seed (West)
  • Auburn — No. 8 seed (East)
  • Mizzou — Next Four Out
  • LSU — Next Four Out

With league play set to start on Dec. 28, there’s still time for several SEC teams to make a move toward the NCAA Tournament field. We’ll see which teams shine and which squads falter soon enough!
