A number of SEC teams are in the mix for spots in the field of 68. In ESPN bracketology expert Joe Lunardi’s latest projections, 7 teams are mentioned, with 6 getting spots in the tourney.
As you can see below, he has Alabama as a 2 seed at the moment. Then, he also has Ole Miss rising quickly on the strength of big wins over Mizzou, Tennessee and others. The Rebels currently find themselves among the “Next Four Out”.
Here’s a look at where the 7 SEC teams mentioned stand in the latest projections:
- Alabama — No. 2 seed (Region 4)
- Tennessee — No. 4 seed (Region 2)
- Mizzou — No. 5 seed (Region 4)
- Arkansas — No. 7 seed (Region 2)
- Florida — No. 7 seed (Region 3)
- LSU — No. 8 seed (Region 1)
- Ole Miss — Next Four Out
