With February quickly approaching, there are not many chances left for teams to impress the NCAA Tournament selection committee.

In the SEC, there are several teams vying for a March Madness berth, and in ESPN bracketology expert Joe Lunardi’s latest projections, he has seven SEC squads in the field of 68.

As you can see below, he has the Vols as one of the four No. 1 seeds, along with Duke, Virginia and Michigan State:

  • Tennessee — No. 1 seed (Midwest)
  • Kentucky — No. 2 seed (East)
  • LSU — No. 5 seed (South)
  • Mississippi State — No. 6 seed (South)
  • Auburn — No. 7 seed (Midwest)
  • Ole Miss — No. 9 seed (East)
  • Alabama — No. 12 seed (West)
  • Florida — First four out

Interestingly, Lunardi has the Tide as the last team in the field and the Gators as the first team out. Safe to say, both of those teams need to pick up some more big wins before the SEC Tournament starts.
