The LSU Tigers recently hired 28-year-old Kevin Brady to be their passing coordinator, and now he’s the youngest coach on the Tigers’ staff.

Is he ready for the pressure of such a big SEC gig? After spending some time with the New Orleans Saints, Brady is now in a higher profile job in the college ranks.

The hire definitely drew some eyebrow raises over the past week. However, Mississippi State coach Joe Moorhead reached out to LSU coach Ed Orgeron to congratulate him on making such a good hire (via NOLA.com):

Brady interviewed with LSU last week. He had the LSU passing coordinator job by the weekend, making the 28-year-old the youngest coach on LSU’s staff. Soon, Orgeron was receiving texts from coaches like Moorhead, an SEC West rival.

“I told him what a fantastic hire I thought it was,” Moorhead said.

The Tigers certainly need some life injected into their passing game, so we’ll see how Brady fares this coming fall.

At least one SEC West rival likes the decision made by Coach O, though.
