One of the biggest storylines of the weekend was the way that Ole Miss dominated Georgia in a 28-10 victory in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. There were some who took note of the fact the Rebels looked like a team that could finally contend with the Bulldogs in a way they had not looked in recent past years, but that lopsided of an outcome was not exactly what most people had in the cards.
LSU also had any potential playoff hopes snatched away from it as this new Alabama team looked like the one that dominated back in the Saban era, recording a 42-13 victory in Tigers Stadium.
It will be interesting to watch how things continue to progress as teams head down the final stretch of the season.
