Joel Klatt is out with his latest top 10 following Week 5, and he replaced Georgia at the top spot with Ohio State.
In fact, Klatt slid all the way to No. 5, several spots lower than the major polls, such as the Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25, where the Bulldogs are No. 2.
Klatt, who with Gus Johnson, broadcast Michigan’s win at Iowa on Saturday for FOX Sports, pegged Alabama at No. 2, Michigan at No. 3 and Clemson at No. 4. Coming off of a bye week, Klatt has Tennessee at No. 9, and Ole Miss just outside the top 10 following a solid victory over fellow undefeated Kentucky.
Regardless of the order, Klatt’s top 5 is widely agreed upon by most college football pollsters, although his glaring difference is having the Bulldogs so low. Most rankings and college football writers have Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson and even Southern Cal at the top.
