Joel Klatt has updated his personal rankings following a Week 7 slate that was loaded with top-25 games.
Klatt has Texas at No. 1 in his rankings this week — which is no change from his Week 6 list. However, Oregon moved up into the No. 2 spot on Klatt’s rankings after its win over Ohio State. The Buckeyes didn’t fall far, however, slipping down just one spot.
Georgia and Penn State round out Klatt’s top 5. One other material change Klatt made is that Clemson moved ahead of Alabama this week for the No. 6 spot after its blowout win over Wake Forest. The Crimson Tide also struggled with South Carolina on Saturday.
LSU moved into the top 10 after its big victory over Ole Miss. Iowa State and Miami landed the last 2 spots in Klatt’s ranking. Tennessee fell out of the top 10 this week while BYU, Texas A&M and Notre Dame earned nods as honorable mentions.

Klatt’s top 10 includes 4 teams from the SEC, 3 teams from the Big Ten, 2 from the ACC and 1 from the Big 12.
There will surely be additional movement on his list next weekend, particularly in the SEC. Texas hosts Georgia next weekend and Alabama will be making the trip to Knoxville to take on Tennessee.
