Outside of Georgia, there hasn’t been much defense played in the SEC this season. Even the Bulldogs got smacked around by Alabama last week during the second half.

On Saturday morning, SEC Network analyst Jordan Rodgers decided to rank his top 5 SEC defenses thus far.

As you can see below, he had Georgia at No. 1, followed by Alabama, Mississippi State, Kentucky and Arkansas:

Many would argue that Arkansas should be higher on this list based on the work first-year DC Barry Odom has done. But, Mississippi State’s defense has been surprisingly effective this season.
