Josiah Thompson, 4-star OL, names 3 SEC schools in final 5 and sets commitment date
Josiah Thompson has announced his final 5 programs and has set his commitment date for April 11.
Thompson, a 4-star offensive lineman from South Carolina, is still considering these 5 teams: Alabama, Georgia, Miami, South Carolina and Clemson.

In addition to those 5 programs, Thompson has received offers from programs like Oklahoma, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Auburn and other top teams.
Thompson would be a major addition in the class of 2024 for any of these programs. He’s listed at 6-foot-6, 280 pounds and attends Dillon High School in Dillon, South Carolina.
Thompson is currently ranked as the No. 63 overall player and the No. 5 offensive tackle in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 2 player from the state of South Carolina.
The Gamecocks are currently favored to land Thompson’s commitment, according to 247Sports Crystal Ball projections.
South Carolina’s 2024 recruiting class is off to a great start. The Gamecocks already have 5 commitments for this cycle. Overall, the group ranks No. 7 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
