Kirk Herbstreit includes 2 SEC programs amongst top-performers for Week 8

Kirk Herbstreit has unveiled his top-performing teams from Week 8.
Two SEC teams find themselves at the top of the list this week: Georgia and Tennessee.
The Bulldogs earned a huge win over No. 1 Texas on the road on Saturday night. Georgia was dominant throughout the majority of the game and was able to keep the Longhorns at arm’s length in the second half despite a valiant comeback effort.
Tennessee made the list after it defeated rival Alabama in front of a raucous home crowd at Neyland Stadium. It was Tennessee’s second consecutive home win over Alabama following its triumphant victory over the Tide back in 2022.
Indiana, Illinois, NC State, Georgia Southern and North Dakota State also made Herbstreit’s list for Week 8:

Looking ahead for the rest of the season, Tennessee and Georgia are both firmly in the mix to compete for a spot in the SEC Championship Game. Both teams have just 1 conference loss entering Week 9.
Georgia is off in Week 9. The Bulldogs will be in action against in Week 10 against Florida. Tennessee is also off this weekend. UT’s next game is at home against Kentucky on Nov. 2.
