Kirk Herbstreit introduces intriguing ‘what-if’ scenario surrounding the Playoff

Kirk Herbstreit openly brainstormed about a fascinating what-if scenario ahead of Championship Week, which would bring additional chaos to the College Football Playoff.
In short, the ESPN commentator brings up the idea that several underdogs win their championship games, and Notre Dame slides into the No. 2 slot of the Playoff. How would the remaining spots be filled?
Since Michigan won on Saturday, there’s already considerable debate over agreeing on the 4 teams, as primarily Georgia, Michigan and Cincinnati are in the mix. The fourth team could be Alabama or Oklahoma State, at least leading into Saturday.
However, if there is the chaos Herbstreit is raising, then all bets are off.
Both Georgia and Cincinnati are widely viewed as unanimous selections, and Georgia is expected to be in the Playoff win or lose on Saturday. However, the Bearcats will need a win against an 11-1 Houston team to remain in the Playoff hunt.
Just thinking of the craziest of scenarios. Not predicting (relax) simply asking WHAT IF:
UGA wins
Iowa wins
Houston wins
Baylor wins
Who would be the 4???
UGA
ND
?
?
Baylor maybe as Big 12 champs?
What if Oregon won big over Utah could they get up there?
Bama, UM, or OSU?— Kirk Herbstreit (@KirkHerbstreit) November 29, 2021
