Kirk Herbstreit names top-performing players from Week 7, including 2 SEC stars
Kirk Herbstreit released his list of top-performing players from Week 7 in college football on Monday night.
Stanford receiver Elic Ayomanor led the way in the top spot after his heroic effort in Stanford’s comeback win over Colorado on Friday. Ayomanor finished with 13 catches for 294 yards and 3 touchdowns in the overtime win.
A pair of SEC stars made the cut for Herbstreit this week: Arkansas’ Landon Jackson and Florida’s Graham Mertz.
Here’s the full list from Herbstreit:

Jackson was a big reason why Arkansas was able to keep things close vs. Alabama this week. He finished the game with 11 tackles and 3.5 sacks in what was a career day for the Arkansas defensive lineman. He now has 10.5 tackles for loss on the season.
Mertz also had a big day in Florida’s road win over South Carolina this week. He threw for 423 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Gamecocks in Week 7, giving him arguably his best performance in a Florida uniform to date.
Herbstreit and the College GameDay crew will be in Columbus this weekend for Ohio State vs. Penn State.
