Kirk Herbstreit's College Football Playoff projection after Week 1
College GameDay analyst Kirk Herbstreit has changed his original College Football Playoff projection for 2015.
Herbstreit had Ohio State, Oklahoma, LSU and Arizona State in his preseason predictions, but thanks to Texas A&M, that Sun Devils’ pick isn’t looking so hot. However, Herbstreit wasn’t anywhere close to being as wrong as Desmond Howard, who picked Stanford to win it all. That was before unranked Northwestern upset the Cardinal Saturday.
So, which teams impressed Herbstreit during Week 1? Here’s his playoff projection now:
1st few weeks my top 4 will be VERY fluid based on results & learning more about the teams each wk. 1..OSU 2..Bama 3..UCLA 4..ND

Ohio State is the only team that remained in Herbstreit’s playoff projection after an impressive win on the road against Virginia Tech. Alabama, UCLA and Notre Dame all jumped in based on Week 1 play.
Herbstreit called both the Ohio State and Alabama games during Week 1, and he got to see those teams first-hand.
