College GameDay analyst Kirk Herbstreit has updated his College Football Playoff projection after Week 3.

Herbstreit had Ohio State, Oklahoma, LSU and Arizona State in his preseason predictions, and two of those four teams are in his newest top four.

Following Week 3, Herbstreit projects 1. Ohio State, 2. LSU, 3. Ole Miss and 4. Michigan State in his top four. That’s two SEC teams and two Big Ten teams. Wouldn’t that be something?

Herbstreit was high on LSU prior to the start of the season, and the Tigers are proving him right through three weeks. LSU hammered Auburn yesterday on the back of Leonard Fournette’s Heisman-like three-touchdown performance.

Herbstreit and Chris Fowler also called the Alabama-Ole Miss game, and the Rebels make their first appearance in his top four after an impressive win over the Crimson Tide.
