Kirk Herbstreit knows a thing or 2 about the best college football games — he usually calls them every week.

Herbstreit, along with Chris Fowler, will be on-hand in Athens, Georgia, to call the Arkansas at Georgia game. That’s not surprising because College GameDay takes place from Athens, too.

We’ve had this Saturday circled for a couple of weeks now, and the SEC is once again leading college football’s top games.

Herbstreit ranked Saturday’s impressive lineup, and 2 SEC games led the way: 1. Ole Miss at Alabama and 2. Arkansas at Georgia.

No. 12 Ole Miss, led by Heisman Trophy candidate Matt Corral and head coach Lane Kiffin, head to Tuscaloosa to take on No. 1 Alabama. Kiffin’s offense gave Nick Saban’s defense absolute fits last year, and several folks are picking the Rebels to upset the Tide Saturday (here and here).

No. 8 Arkansas’ road trip to No. 2 Georgia might not have been an elite matchup before the season, but Sam Pittman’s Hogs are pushing teams around. The Razorbacks have already beaten 2 ranked teams — Texas and Texas A&M, and they won’t be scared in the least bit headed into Sanford Stadium. Georgia may be the best team in the nation right now, and Saturday will give us a huge piece of the puzzle.

Herbstreit’s rankings then followed up with No. 7 Cincinnati at No. 9 Notre Dame, No. 14 Michigan at Wisconsin, No. 3 Oregon at Stanford and Texas at TCU.
