Kirk Herbstreit was on hand Saturday for Iowa’s dominant 27-17 win over Iowa State, but he obviously tunes into all the college football games across the country.

After 2 weeks of college football, the popular ESPN analyst ranked his top 6 teams on Sunday.

It’s early, but Alabama and Georgia look like the 2 best teams in the country. Alabama flexed on Mercer Saturday 48-14, while Georgia dunked on UAB 56-7. Based on the early eye test, it looks like there’s a sizable gap between the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs to the No. 3 team in the nation.

Herbstreit obviously ranked Alabama and Georgia the top 2 teams, with Oklahoma and Oregon rounding out his top 4. Oklahoma clobbered Western Carolina 76-0, while Oregon had the huge upset of Ohio State.

The College GameDay analyst also ranked Iowa and Cincinnati in his top 6. The biggest team missing? Texas A&M. The Aggies narrowly escaped an upset bid by Colorado Saturday 10-7. There’s plenty of time for the Aggies to make an impression on Herbstreit though, but it may have to be without quarterback Haynes King, who was injured Saturday.

Below is Herbstreit’s top 6 teams:
