Kirk Herbstreit has released his list of top-performing teams from college football’s Week 7.
No SEC teams made the cut this week as other conferences stole the spotlight this week. Washington and Notre Dame claimed the top two spots after picking up top-10 wins vs. Oregon and USC, respectively.
Pitt, Iowa, Stanford, North Carolina and Oregon State also made it into Herbstreit’s top 7.

Washington’s last-minute win against Oregon was arguably the highlight of the weekend for all of college football. Oregon missed a field goal as regulation expired that would have sent the game into overtime.
Notre Dame’s blowout win over USC on Saturday night was also a big result nationally. While Notre Dame is likely out of CFP contention, a loss for a previously-undefeated USC team likely eliminates any remaining margin-for-error that the Trojans may have had.
Pitt picked up a stunning win over Louisville this weekend. It was the Panthers’ first FBS win of the season.
Iowa shut down Wisconsin’s offense in a 15-6 win over the Badgers in Week 7. The Hawkeyes won the game despite amassing just 37 passing yards vs. Wisconsin.
Stanford overcame a 29-0 halftime deficit to defeat Colorado on Friday night in overtime. The Cardinal are now 2-4 on the season.
North Carolina defeated Miami 41-31 to remain undefeated on Saturday night. The Tar Heels also moved into the top 10 of the AP Top 25 this week and are looking like potential candidates to reach the College Football Playoff.
Oregon State rounds out Herbstreit’s list after the Beavers picked up a top 25 win over UCLA this weekend. DJ Uiagalelei continues to be efficient as he threw for 266 yards and 2 touchdowns on just 24 attempts.
