Kyler Murray has a tough choice to make but apparently $15 million would help Oklahoma’s quarterback make his final decision in a hurry.

The deadline for college football players to declare early for the 2019 NFL Draft is Monday, Jan. 14. Murray has yet to publicly announce his decision but as the deadline looms, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner reportedly is willing to make his intentions known for the right price.

According to Mike Leslie, Sports Anchor/Reporter at WFAA in Dallas, Murray is asked the A’s to up their offer to keep the Sooner quarterback from declaring for the 2019 NFL Draft. Murray has already been paid over $4 million by the A’s after being selected in the first round of the latest Major League Baseball draft.

Here is what Leslie had to say about Murray’s situation:

According to a source close to the situation, Kyler Murray’s number is $15M. He wants big time money to stick with baseball, otherwise he will enter the NFL draft tomorrow. The A’s are doing everything they can, sending their top brass, led by Billy Beane, to meet with him.

Based on that information, it appears Murray is leaning toward the NFL over baseball.

If Murray decides to enter the NFL and forgo his opportunity to play baseball, he would have to pay back the money the A’s originally gave him following the Major League Baseball draft. In what is regarded as a weak quarterback class, Murray would likely be among the top players selected at the position in the coming draft, should he declare.
