Lane Kiffin is looking to Rocky Top for a future quarterback.

The Ole Miss Rebels head coach recently extended a scholarship offer to Kaden Martin, the son of former Tennessee quarterback and current Volunteers assistant coach Tee Martin. The older Martin, who knows Kiffin well having worked with him at USC, tweeted his appreciation to the former UT head coach.

The younger Martin, a class of 2022 prospect, had been on Kiffin’s radar before the Lane Train arrived in Oxford. Florida Atlantic is one of the seven early offers for the Knoxville Catholic dual-threat quarterback, along with Alabama, Duke, Kentucky, USC, West Virginia and now Ole Miss.

Tee Martin was Kiffin’s wide receivers coach during the 2012 and ’13 seasons of his tenure. Another former Trojans coach, Steve Sarkisian, is listed as Kaden Martin’s primary recruiter for Alabama.

Kaden Martin does not yet have a 247Sports Composite rating. He followed his father from Los Angeles to Knoxville after Tee agreed to a position on the UT coaching staff.

Kaden still has two more seasons of high school football ahead of him before he’ll be playing in college, but it looks like the Tennessee legacy will be a highly sought-after prospect.
