Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels are gearing up for a big SEC showdown with the Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 10. Ahead of that matchup, Kiffin knows he has to have his defense prepared for Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green.

“We have to do a great job of containing him. This guy is as talented and long as they come,” Kiffin said of Green. “That’s a well-coached team all-around.”

Green is in his first season in the SEC. The dual-threat QB previously played at Boise State before transferring to Fayetteville and winning the starting job for 2024.

Through Week 9, Vanderbilt’s Diego Pavia is the only SEC QB with more rushing yards than Green. The Arkansas passer has rushed 95 times for 395 yards and 5 touchdowns in 2024. Green has also thrown for 2,056 yards with 11 TDs and 7 interceptions while completing 60.6% of his passes.

Fortunately for Kiffin, his Rebel defense is No. 1 in the nation in rushing defense. The Rebels are allowing just 76.63 rushing yards per game through Week 9.

South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers was held to just 55 rushing yards, while Oklahoma’s Jackson Arnold had 39 yards on the ground.

As Kiffin mentioned, the Razorbacks are a well-coached team, so this is not a game that can be overlooked by the Rebels. The 2 SEC rivals will kick off from Razorback Stadium on Saturday at noon ET.
