We’ve reached the Top 15 of our Top 100 SEC players list and will unveil a new player daily leading up to opening night on Aug. 28.

11. Laquon Treadwell, Soph., WR, Ole Miss

Poised to emerge as one of college football’s top receivers as a sophomore, the SEC’s reigning freshman of the year has made spectacular progress since his arrival on campus as one of the jewels in Hugh Freeze’s star-studded 2013 signing class. A tough cover at 6-foot-2, 230 pounds, Treadwell set Ole Miss freshman records for receptions (72), yards (608) and touchdowns (5) last season and could be more productive on the outside this fall as he replaces Donte Moncrief as the Rebels’ No. 1.

No longer an unknown, Treadwell’s going to receive the bulk of double coverages aginst Ole Miss wideouts this season and in 1-on-1 situations, will have to out-play the opposition’s best corner. Throughout the fall, Treadwell’s shown an increase in athleticism and been a dominant player who has routinely made one-handed catches and big plays. Bo Wallace’s most reliable target with elite ability should have quite the season alongside wideout-tight end hybrid Evan Engram in the Rebels’ up-tempo offense, nearly doubling last year’s totals en route to first team All-SEC honors.

2013 statistics: 72 catches, 608 yds, 5 TDs
2014 projection: 88 catches, 1,110 yds, 12 TDs
