Lee Corso shares plans for future on College GameDay
Lee Corso is planning on sticking with College GameDay for as long as they’ll have him.
Corso spoke to GQ’s Alex Kirshner about what it’s been like being on the show over the years and the relationship with Kirk Herbstreit. Corso has been a staple on the show since its beginning and had a great answer when asked about how long he’d like to keep working there.
“I’m gonna be like that guy in Vaudeville,” said Corso. “They hook him around the neck, and they pull him off the stage as he keeps talking.”
The version of College GameDay that fans have come to know started in 1993 even though the show debuted in 1987. Corso was one of the original members along with Tim Brando and Beano Cook. GameDay started to film live on location during the 1993 season.
It doesn’t sound like Corso’s tenure with GameDay is going to end anytime soon. GameDay went to locations like Charlotte, Tuscaloosa, Boulder, Ann Arbor and others this season.
