As things stand right now, Alabama and Georgia are both 8-0 and seem to be on course to meet in the SEC Championship Game in December.
Of course, a lot has to happen before that point, but that would be one of the most exciting SEC title games in recent memory.
On the strength of Georgia’s big win over Florida last weekend, the betting line has tightened up, according to an email from BetDSI.eu. Now, the site has the Crimson Tide favored by less than a touchdown:
- Georgia vs. Alabama (-6)
That line is interesting because, as recently as last week, Georgia would have been a 14-point underdog against the Tide, according to handicapper Danny Sheridan.
Other potential ACC and Big Ten Championship Game matchups are listed below, with Clemson and Ohio State being the favorites in those games:
- Clemson (-7) vs. Miami
- Clemson (-4.5) vs. Virginia Tech
- Wisconsin vs. Ohio State (-9.5)
Whether any of these title game matchups actually happens or not is yet to be decided, but it’s clear who oddsmakers think the best teams in the country are.
