LISTEN: Danny Kanell, Peter Burns engage in heated debate over Playoff system
Danny Kanell has not held back when discussing the current College Football Playoff system, and Peter Burns and Kanell went toe-to-toe when discussing the format Wednesday
During a call-in appearance to the show hosted by Burns and Rick Neuheisel, Kanell began once again to label the system as flawed and broken. Kanell also claimed that the all-SEC National Championship Game is bad for the sport and said ratings for the Monday night game will be terrible.
Burns did not back down and argued that the system is not broken. He went on to point out that allowing more teams in the Playoff would increase the likelihood of the SEC getting more teams in.
The exchange between the ESPN radio hosts is extremely entertaining, but it left Neuheisel to question what was happening.
“What the heck’s going on here?” asked Neuheisel.
Here’s the whole exchange from ESPNU Radio:
.@dannykanell joined @PeterBurnsESPN and @CoachNeuheisel to talk about their takes on the #CFBPlayoff and an all @SEC National Championship. It went about as well as expected. 😂
