LOOK: Courtney Smith's mother seemingly fires back at texts released by reporter Brett McMurphy
The situation at Ohio State, stemming from a 2015 domestic-violence incident involving former WR coach Zach Smith and his then-wife Courtney Smith.
The case has taken so many twists and turns in the last week and a half, and now former ESPN reporter Brett McMurphy, who originally broke the news, is caught in a strange situation.
On Saturday, he released texts that he said were from Tina Carano, Courtney Smith’s mother. The texts seemed to show that Carano was upset with Zach for infidelity:

The interesting response from Carano comes at the bottom of the last picture, where she questions the validity of those messages:
McMurphy has yet to respond, but it’ll be imperative that he proves the validity of the texts. Otherwise, more questions will be raised in this already bizarre back-and-forth case.
