LOOK: Fans hilariously mock NFL for giving Drew Brees a certificate after breaking all-time passing record
What do you get when you set the NFL’s all-time passing yardage record?
Apparently, just a paper certificate. That’s what Drew Brees was handed after breaking Peyton Manning’s record on Monday Night Football.
Brees went into the record books with a 62-yard touchdown pass, and then play was halted while he was awarded the certificate.
Immediately after that moment, fans flocked to Twitter to mock the NFL for the simple-looking certificate. Check out some of the best tweets below:

@ESPNNFL #nfl you couldn’t spring for a plaque for #DrewBrees when he broke the record? You hand him a certificate like he just came in 2nd place at a local spelling bee? Booger was still really excited about it though.

Perhaps the NFL will come up with something a bit classier if and when Brees breaks Manning’s all-time touchdown record. Based on how the NFL usually operates, though, probably not.
