LOOK: Giants fan nearly cries after team selects Daniel Jones No. 6 overall; other fans rip choice
The New York Giants have their quarterback of the future, but it’s not the one anyone wanted.
Instead of taking Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins or Mizzou’s Drew Lock, the Giants used the No. 6 overall pick on Duke’s Daniel Jones, who will eventually be tasked with taking over for Eli Manning.
As you can see, one Giants fan in Nashville was on the verge of tears after the pick:

Other reactions weren’t very positive either. The pick was generally roasted on Twitter:

Wait did the giants take Daniel Jones? Or did they take Eli’s long lost twin? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/JQngeKDBei

Daniel Jones is Eli Manning's successor. I just said that out loud, and I'm getting lightheaded.

We’ll see how he fares in New York, but the Giants clearly like that he had David Cutcliffe as his coach at Duke — the same guy who coached Manning at Ole Miss.
