LOOK: Recovering TSU player Christion Abercombie able to enjoy 'Super Special Sunday'
Christion Abercombie’s injury in the Sept. 29 Tennessee State-Vanderbilt game was one of those reminders for SEC fans and college football fans that some things are bigger than football.
As the news spread that Abercrombie was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center after suffering a serious head injury and needing oxygen on the sideline, countless football fans prayed for him. All updates on Abercrombie were closely followed.
Sunday, Abercrombie’s mother shared that her son was able to briefly go home and watch football with family members. Hopefully this is a sign that Abercrombie will get to spend more time at home in the future.
Today was a “Super Special Sunday!” We took Christion home for a couple of hours to watch some 🏈❗️Because of God and your 🙏 it was possible‼️ I’m so amazed and thankful for the miracle that God allowed in my son‼️ This is truly a 🎁❗️ pic.twitter.com/jjxzhsfqD4
