Now that the bulk of the 2018 recruiting class has signed with schools, it’s time to break down the hauls each team got in December and on Wednesday.

One fun way to do that is to look at where players in each state signed. Did they sign with an in-state school or head to greener pastures elsewhere?

As you can see in the graphic below, created by SB Nation, six SEC teams — LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Auburn and Georgia — managed to “win” their home states, keeping the top athletes at home:

Interestingly, even though Alabama didn’t win its home state (Auburn got more of the state’s top talent), the Crimson Tide do show up on the map, as they won the state of Connecticut.

The Tide managed to sign 4-star CB Josh Jobe out of Connecticut, the state’s only notable prospect.

Winning your home state is critical in recruiting, so it’ll be interesting to see if more SEC teams can land big-time in-state talent in 2019.
